The Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta (PBPA)
will be opening its doors for business in early July and will provide
pro bono legal services primarily to Atlanta-based nonprofit
organizations serving the poor and disadvantaged. Rachel Epps Spears
will serve as its first executive director. Rachel previously worked
for eight years as an associate in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office.
According to Mike Kline, Intellectual Property Litigation Counsel at
Coke Cola and a member of PBPA’s board of directors, “Rachel is the
perfect person for the job. She has experience working with several
Atlanta-based charities and is widely well regarded for her legal skills
and the dedication and enthusiasm she brings to her work. The Board of
Directors is looking forward to working with her to make PBPA a
resounding success.”
Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, Inc. is
a separately incorporated Georgia nonprofit organization and is tax
exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It will be
working very closely with the Pro Bono Partnership which will be
